April 21: Chapters 3 & 4

In a brief overview of chapter 3 I found that each character has a potential secret or accusations that was made presumed for murdering people. The gramophone shows the 10 people what they have done wrong and what it may lead to.There is also the revealing of the private detective, Henry William Blore who in his own firm was requested to come to this state and hide his identity, as a result he was still found out. Personally I think that this indicates more of a secret that has to do with the get together of people, they all came to meet the Owens which have yet to be identified though are presumed unknown with the initials on all the letters sent to some of the guests shown as U.N. Owen. Each character is left with perceptive thoughts and reasoning on why they are here at the supposed "Owen estate" though are these people real at any point? Every character seemed unsure and confused. There is also a deceptive vibe that anyone can see in the open . . . the Rogers so far seem the most suspicious because they just happen to be authorizing and running this estate while the owners just "happen" to be gone, it is ridiculous to have the butler and wife take care of the property knowing that most are in it for there benefit of gaining money or profit from the owners . . . they are probably dead. Though it is still hard to tell . . . what is going on and what is to come?

In Chapter 4 all characters seemed compelled by the offenses that accused them of nothing. Each character gave a thorough sense of what had happened in those actions stating that each was an accident and were deprived attention with each assumed murder. Justice Wargrave always is trying to get something out of all of these people and among them wants to be the first to leave, but why? As of what they have determined now it is a mystery to who the host or hostess is who invited them to the estate and there is no official owner of this property at the moment so all the characters question logic pleading their innocence. Every character is willing to leave the following day except Anthony Marston who I am now assuming to take the role of the killer because he is even more suspicious to actually want to stay and solve this potential mystery on who would know everyone including their extensive backgrounds or past lives. Another suspicious character could be Justice Wargrave because why in the world would he want to leave after shortly arriving? Is he an accomplice in some fiasco of a plan? Or the butler and wife, the Rogers who are so willing just easily letting them leave? So many are suspected in my mind they each give off this indecisive atmosphere that it is hard to tell. Who knows they might as well stay.

  1. Very insightful...but you HAVE to have at least one person you suspect the most...who is it?
